Junior team trains Thursday after school. 

Beacon Football Club reformed in 1976 after a 7 year recess and has been an exceptionally successful Australian Rules football club in the Wheatbelt. The club has participated in 25 Grand finals in 27 years, winning 15 Premierships. Football is played on Saturday from April – August.

BLHC formed in 1975 and is a very successful club competing in 17 Grandfinals from 1988 – 1994 and winning 11 Premierships in that time. The club is affiliated with the Central Wheatbelt Ladies Hockey Association. Matches are played Saturdays at 1pm. Training held Thursdays 3.30pm. New players most welcome.

Central Wheatbelt Bowling League Men’s Pennants competition is played Saturday afternoons.

Central Wheatbelt Bowling League Ladies Pennants played Wednesday mornings September-March. 

Men’s and Ladies Club days and Social Bowls are held Sunday afternoons. Bowls practice held Thursday afternoons.
New members always welcome.

Netball Courts

Beacon Netball Club

The Beacon Netball Club was established in 1999.

Competing in the Central Wheatbelt Netball Association on Saturday afternoons from late April until the end of August. Beacon Netball Club won their first premiership in the history of the Association in 2011 and had further success with premierships in 2014 and 2017. New members are always welcome.

Social tennis is held most Sunday afternoons from October to March. Central Wheatbelt Tennis Association Pennants are played every Friday evening during October through until mid November. There are no pennants fixtures during the harvest months of December and January. Pennants recommence every Friday for February and March. 

Junior Tennis coaching is held most Sundays prior to Seniors tennis. Tennis is played on a synthetic court surface under lights. Non members can use the courts for a small fee of $5.00. Contact President or Secretary. New members most welcome.

Beacon Gymnasium

The Beacon Gym is located inside the Beacon Recreation Complex near the change room and toilet facilities.  All members are provided a key so they are able to access the gym 24/7. 

To join the Beacon Gym you need to visit Beacon Central on Rowlands Street during office hours.  Alternatively you can also visit the Shire of Mt Marshall Offices.  Staff will provide you with the membership forms and provide you with your key once they have received payment.

The Gym has a range of equipment for use, including;

  • Treadmill
  • Exercise Bike
  • Cross Trainer
  • Rowing Machine
  • Free Weights
  • Kettle Bells
  • Weight Machine
  • Gym Balls & Mats

The gym is accessible to members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Membership fees are;

    • Adult Membership – $64 per year
    • Pensioner – $38 per year
    • Student – $38 per year. Must be over 16 years of age and must supply a copy of their student card.
    • Casual Membership – $5.50 per session
    • Please note you must be 16 years or over to use this facility.

Mt Marshall Aquatic Centre

The Mt Marshall Aquatic Centre includes a 50m lap pool and toddlers pool, open from November to March each year.
